Mutua Emergency Pumping Station, Beira

As part of the Water Services and Institutional Support Project II (WASIS II) IDA Credit 57830, construction of a new pumping station at the water treatment plant in Mutua to improve the water supply to the city of Beira and to Dondo from the river Dingue_Dingue, a tributary of the Pungue River, 80km from Beira. The works included structural design for pumping station to accommodate 5 pumps; supply and installation of the required new pump sets; transfer and installation of the existing pumps to the new pumping station; supply and installation of pipes, valves and fittings; connection of the new pumping station to the existing system; power supply connection to the new pumping station and the pump control boards.
