Xai - Xai (Chissibucua)

The project as a whole entailed the rehabilitation of Road N1, the National Route (main road) of Moçambique that links the main cities of Maputo and Beira (via Inchope). The design review and construction services consisted of the upgrading of the existing paved over the existing length of approximately 96 kms. The Consultancy services included all the field and office works necessary for the evaluation of bids for the construction of the road. Additional studies, investigations and amendments, including an environmental and social impact study review, were undertaken to ensure the soundness and efficiency of the detailed engineering design and the tender documents.
