Technical Assistance – Road Maintenance
- • Road condition surveys and designs for the road maintenance or rehabilitation provincial rural roads network
- • Organisation of electronic and manual traffic counts of selected roads
- • Inspection of bridges and culverts and repair proposals
- • Preparation of provincial budget and action plan for roads and bridges maintenance
- • Preparation of contract documentation
- • Launching of tenders and bids Evaluation
- • Assist the Client in developing Technical Standards for roads maintenance
- • Assist the Client in developing standard forms, specification and bill of quantities for the procurement of construction and maintenance works
- • Training of contractors and client staff on maintenance of low volume rural roads, in the use of labour based methods as well as plant and equipment strategies
- • Installation of Area Based Maintenance System
- • Assisting and enhancing capacity within the districts and municipalities in the design, tender documentation and supervision of roads and bridges
- • Supervision of construction including training of contractors
- • Quality Control and maintaning uninterupted access throughout the province
- • Post contract services
