Palma - Afungi
Anadarko Moçambique Área 1 Limitada (AMA 1), a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (APC), and partners, are developing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant for the government and people of Mozambique. The site is located on the Indian Ocean coastline of Mozambique on the west of the Island of Ilha Tecomagi, commonly referred to as “Afungi”.
The plant is located on a ‘green_fields’ site (the “Site”) and will incorporate an onshore LNG plant, LNG storage tanks, LNG load_out jetty and wharf, materials offloading facility, onshore pipelines and support facilities including accommodation villages.
To support the Mozambique LNG Facility Afungi Site Improvements, Anadarko (AMA 1) engaged Consolidated Contractors Company, Mozambique (CCCM) to embark on an infrastructure project for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the Palma – Afungi Road. SWMoz (SWM) was subsequently engaged by CCCM to undertake the detailed design and construction supervision and monitoring of the road project with a length of 11.823 km.
