Access roads in Massinga and Manica
Detailed design and Construction Supervision of Paving the Access Roads and Construction of the Drainage System of the stormwater in the towns of Massinga and Manica in two separate contracts for the respective municipalities funded by KfW. The scope of works included topographical survey, materials investigations design of access roads, bridges and culverts, supervision of construction and HSE management.
Consultancy Services for Design Review and Preparation of Designs and Supervision of Works to Mitigate the Accident Blackspots on the North-South Corridor along the M1 Road in Malawi
The objectives of the assignment are to carry out Detailed Design and Preparation of Tender Documents for the accident “black spots” interventions measures and Supervision of the contract works for the implementation of the design, funded by the World Bank. Due to limitation of funds, specifically the assignment is targeting seven (7) out of the seventy (70) priority locations of Chimbiya Tradign Cetre (TC), Lumbadzi TC, Mponela TC, Lizulu TC, Tsangano TC/Biriwiri, Kampepuza TC and Lunzu TC . Phase 1: Review the recommendations contained in the final report of Road Safety Assessment of the Trunk Paved Road Network in Malawi (August 2014) regarding the identified accident “black spots” and carry out a preliminary design of specific intervention to address them. Prepare detailed engineering designs and preparation of tender document for the proposed intervention measures. The duration for this phase is six (6) months. Phase 2: Supervise the works contract to ensure that the works are completed in accordance with the specified requirements of the Construction Contract Documents.
