Port Rehabilitation
Concessionaire Engineer and Advisor MPDC for a US$ 30 million budget covering the Upgrading and Improvement of the Quays, Warehouses, Roads, Rail and Infrastructure Services (water, sewer, power, telecoms, security and fire protection) at Maputo Port, Mozambique. Works included environmental studies, dredging, rehabilitation of existing buildings, new buildings, Quays, Railway line, Roads, Water, Sewer, electrical and other utilities. The FIDIC forms of contract were used to manage the projects.
- • The civil works comprise of a mix of upgrading, rehabilitation and new construction in an existing port.
- • Conventional concept design and supervision models and Design-Build models were used to execute the works by a resident engineering team based inside the client office.
